How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

So to prepare for my financial rape starting in November (six months isn't enough time for a grace period on student loans

) I need to either a.)Pick up another part-time job, or b.)Start making artwork to sell. It seems my boyfriend won't be graduating until May because of his minor

so I'm stuck here until then. I just don't make enough at the library for who-knows-how-much each month. If I pick up another job, I probably won't want to work on artwork anymore, something I'd like to avoid. I'm really trying to pack my portfolio with things I can be proud to say are not school assignments.

NOT WHEN I SHIFT INTO MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE

All those blank canvases I have around need to go, seriously. Their blankness is so intimidating, it's so hard to start something. I guess it's a matter of messing them up on purpose. Or, I was reading about this artist in Hi Fructose, Sylvia Ji, who paints on wood boards because she has the same problem. Probably something I can do - I did a rather good painting of a quetzal back in high school on cardboard that came with a poster.

Something else I was gonna say....
....oh. Character portraits coming along nicely. I've never used textures before, but they're looking great. Hector looks fit to be on a trashy romance novel cover.
